The Songwriters Festival started at Ronnie Scotts in Birmingham, and became a very successful bi annual event attracting some of the biggest names in the music business today.

The quality of the acts has meant that the Festival has gone from strength to strength, with singers, bands spreading the word throughout the industry, while fans of the festival have swelled.

It is the Festivals aim not only to bring the best of the worlds songwriters to the stage but to introduce people to new, up and coming bands that might not be getting heavy radio rotation (because they write their own songs).

With the closure of Ronnie Scotts the festival moved to The Glee Club for one festival, before moving to its new home HQ, Hampton St, Birmingham (just off Constitution Hill). It is without doubt the most atmospheric live venue in Birmingham, and perfect for the Songwriters.
